Q. I own a 2009 Ford F5 50 the battery light came on and after nine years of having the same batteries they died . I bought two new batteries installed them and the battery light came on . could this be the alternator going? - Jeff

A. Yes.  If there is a malfunction with the alternating you will get a battery light.  I would first check all the connections at the batteries and alternator.  Check for tightness and corrosion.  If all is good I would replace the alternator.
